Richard Price ’76SOA, author of the novels Clockers and Lush Life, and screenwriter for HBO’s The Wire, is known for his gritty tales of city living. On January 25 he will host Selected Shorts, public radio’s long-running program of theatrical storytelling, recorded live at Symphony Space, on the Upper West Side.

LISTEN

The Marcus Roberts Trio takes the stage on February 4 as part of Miller Theatre’s annual jazz series. Roberts, who lost his sight at age five, began touring with trumpeter Wynton Marsalis ’96HON at twenty-one. Now fifty-three, Roberts runs a uniquely democratic trio: each player gets equal time to lead.
