A new “Take Action” initiative was launched this spring aimed at encouraging advocacy and support for the University. A video message from acting president Claire Shipman ’86CC, ’94SIPA encourages alumni to continue serving as ambassadors for the institution while staying current on the latest Columbia news, helping to counter misinformation, and recruiting fellow alumni, donors, and friends to do the same. “Now is the time for all of us to stand together in support of Columbia,” said Shipman in the video. “As a proud member of our community, you are uniquely positioned to help tell our story and reclaim the narrative of this great institution. Together, we can support our students, our faculty, and the life-changing research that has made Columbia University a beacon of knowledge, inquiry, and service for nearly three centuries.”
