The men’s tennis team defeated Cornell on the final weekend of the season this spring to claim its sixth straight Ivy title.

In front of a roaring home crowd at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center, senior Victor Pham, junior Adam Ambrozy, and sophomore Jack Lin all scratched out gritty victories in their singles matches to lead the Lions. In doing so, they helped give retiring head coach Bid Goswami his fourteenth Ivy crown in thirty-seven years at Columbia.

“If I had to write a script, I would do it this way, but it was too much tension,” said Goswami, who steps down this summer as the winningest tennis coach in Lions history. “I think Cornell is a great team, so we had to play our best … I’m in awe of the guys.”
