Columbia men won the Ivy League cross-country championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on October 30, edging out Penn. The women’s team finished in third place, right behind Princeton and Yale. Senior Aubrey Myjer was the Lions’ top finisher in the men’s race, coming in third place overall, ahead of teammates Jack Boyle, a junior who finished seventh, and Tait Rutherford, a senior who finished ninth. In the women’s race, Lions seniors Olivia Sadler and Leila Mantilla finished ninth and fourteenth, respectively. The following week, Columbia’s Daniel Ireland was named the Ivy League men’s cross-country coach of the year.
