Composer John Zorn, whom the New York Times once called an “all-purpose impresario of the avant-garde,” will return to Miller Theatre on October 8 to premiere five new works and to demonstrate the breadth of his musical palette.

Carol Becker, dean of the School of the Arts, delivers a short but powerful meditation on grief and loss in her new book, Losing Helen. On September 20 she will discuss these themes with Phillip Lopate at the Maison Française in the first event of the new SOA series Complex Issues.
